Head of School’s Highlights
Every Day Matters…
As a high school administrator, I often heard parents say, “These are the best four years of his/her life, and I want them to be good years.”
“Really?” I wanted to say, “Are you kidding? You announce that your child only has four best years?”
Every day matters… what is it about Wednesday being good just because it’s the middle of the week? Or why is it that people are jubilant about the week being over on Friday? As a teacher, it’s a fact that not only does every day matter, but every moment matters as well. The day is a gift from God. Why would we want to lessen a day’s value just because of its placement among the other six days?
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV) says, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the day approaching.” We can spur on ourselves and others through journal writing, internet information, devotion reading, music and movies, spiritual practices, and study groups—to name a few for you.
We are here for one another. I shudder to think about my personal encourager, my leader, my Savior, taking a day off. He is with me everyday; therefore every day matters. Make it happen!

Our Bible verse for the 2016-2017 school year is Psalm 1:3 (ESV): “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”
Our theme for the 2016-2017 school year is Thrive, based off the above verse. Come thrive with us!
